my bff, megan, asked me to take some engagement pictures for her and her fiance jacob. so we met in weatherford, tx yesterday since dane and i are in graham and they live in cedar hill/duncanville. this was my first engagement session and i was so lucky to be photographing these two. after the session we went out to eat and i remember her saying that they were nervous…you would not have known by the way these to were in front of the camera! any pose, face, expression, position, etc, that i asked of them, they did and did it well!  

we are also very blessed to be sharing our wedding year with them! they will be getting hitched this november and it is going to be so rad! meg and jake are both so creative and i cannot wait for what they have in store for their special day!

on sunday we stuck kinsey in her baby pool for our own entertainment (and hers too!). lots of pictures to share of my growing neice. she has officially started zombie-walking, which is an appropriate description as her walk is a little stiff, but nonetheless accurate. and i think it’s safe to say her first official understanding of a word is ‘uh-oh’. she says it everytime she throws something down…which is often.

yesterday i took my dress to be altered and spent the day addressing invitations. they will arrive fashionably late.

in a few hours i will be driving to graham to visit dane for the holiday week. pictures of kinz coming soon!

i just got back from running and now i am impatiently waiting on a package to arrive so that i can leave to go home! i will be gone all next week! i was about to say, ‘i will be taking off all next week’ but i don’t have anything to take off from. i am finished with upward bound and i have no work engagements until the middle of july. so now the real wedding planning starts! haha.

then i will be traveling to graham to visit dane and see all about his summer home.

i usually purchase all my books exclusively through amazon since they always have a mazing deals on used books, but i really wanted this one so i went down to barnes and noble and it was $28! i know it is new and only available in hardback, but i cannot spend that much on one book that will take 2 days to read! and even on amazon it’s not that cheap!

i know and have read all the hype about james frey and his misleading non-fiction, but i still think he is an amazing writer.

(edit: i just bought it on amazon….i finished my other book so i needed a new one!)

third—–

canon 24mm 1.4L lens

this, in my opinion, is probably the best lens out there. different lenses offer different things…some say it’s like comparing apples and oranges, but i feel this one is the sweetest out of the bunch. it will be my next photography purchase (well, maybe after the website!)

fourth—–

it matches the color scheme in our room….and i really like birds.

new shoes! i wore my only running shoes in china! that was two years ago and i have since walked/ran several hundred miles in them! i haven’t picked anything out, but here’s an idea…not the color scheme, though.

this is my all time fave magazine! it has so many creative ideas!

seventh—–

probably the best bag for cameras and lenses. and there are several different designs for the cover so you can match your personality.

i just need someone to talk to on my way home.

an urban fire pit

because roasting marshmallows is one of my most favorite things to do!

and finally——

the office DVDs (all seasons). i am waiting until the show ends for them to create a boxed set of all of them.

my all time favorite show ever. i just want to have it to show my kids what they missed out on.
